Reminder: Students will receive a new form to bring home for Week 3, and every Friday thereafter until the walk-a-thon. This will allow us to track pledges for ‘classroom competitions’ and to provide incentive rewards to every student for each $30 they bring in J.
Week 2 – Celebrate Community … with Compassion theme will be celebrated in the following ways:
- Decorating Collection Boxes for Canton Goodfellows – our students will be decorating collection boxes during class. These boxes will be used year on year for Canton Goodfellows food drives. Remember 10% off all funds we raise will be donated to this great cause which looks after 100’s of local families and their needs.
- Fun activities in Chapel
Compassion is another Christ-Like Character that we should all endeavor to
show to everyone. “Compassion means investing whatever is necessary to heal the
hurts of others”. By teaching our students to ‘be compassionate’ - it gives them
the opportunity to show Christ’s love to others.
ACA Students can show compassion …
We will … stop to help … listen when others want to talk … give of our resources to help those in need … look for lasting solutions … comfort others without regard to race, gender, faith, age or nationality.
